My parents did not start cutting off support until I had a real job/ I graduated college. Even then they did my health insurance until I was 26 and my cell phone was still in their name (though I paid them back for it each month) until I got married 🤷🏼♀️

I have a few friends who’s parents make them pay for everything, sad to see but it makes me incredibly grateful for the parents I have that support me no matter what

Cutting off your parents is sometimes necessary especially if they are treating you so horribly to the point that you have emotional trauma for it and are looking for a good therapist. I left my toxic living situation because of how my own dad and stepmom treated me for 8 1/2 years. I’m trying to get a relationship with my mom back.
