Love love love LOVE this!!!!!! Thank you for using your platform for awareness on food allergies. I’m a mom to a 10yr old who’s ANA to peanuts and tree nuts. Have carried EpiPens since he was 1yo. Even when we couldn’t afford the $600 per pair epi, we charged it bc they are just a necessity of his life. He’s been on xolair for a year and we’re hoping for no more ER visits or epi pens ❤️❤️❤️

Yes been to the ER twice in my life due to allergic reactions. I always carry my epi pen.

I’m so glad your son is ok! It’s so scary. Thank you for bringing awareness to food allergies. My oldest daughter has been allergic to shellfish since she was 2 and we have always carried and epi pen. One day a few years ago she was working in a coffee shop and didn’t have her epi pen. Well she came into contact with oranges and she ended having an allergic reaction which we had no clue she was allergic to oranges! She was smart enough to call an ambulance and then myself. The emt gave her 2 epi pens and she then went to the hospital. Thank god she was ok but it’s super scary! I always have an epi pen on me even when she’s not with me in case someone else were to need it.

I hope he is feeling better! I have no experience with food allergies personally but I will enjoy learning information that I can use to help in an emergency situation, never want to feel helpless in a crisis!

I have an allergy to latex. And it was yrs before I learned of all the foods that contain natural latex. Like banana, watermelon, kiwi there is a whole list of you Google it. They could be as harmful as items with latex.

I went into anaphylaxis one time after eating fish. Fresh water fish. All doctors say that's extremely rare and i'm probably just allergic to shellfish. But, I'm not eating anything that lives in water! And people can have allergies of anything! Anaphylaxis is very scary. I remember knowing I was going to die..but my Mom got me to hospital just in time. Epipens save lives!
