that corkscrew spin to knock all the bad guys off made me irrationally happy. its exactly the kind of goofy thing Superman will do in the comics and cartoons. live action directors have historically been too scared of looking goofy to actually capture the magic of superhero media like this. I felt the same way watching this as I did watching the DCU growing up.
