No thats wrong. He is saying children with night lights are more likely to get glases. The real reason is that the parents have glases and they need to see better. It’s genes. We learn this in math class about how things lined up.

Me and my year younger sister shared a room till we were about 11-12 years old and it always had a night light . But only I had to get glasses/contacts in middle school, yet my sister till this day doesn’t need anything to see perfectly fine
