The worst thing they did was destroy the new republic and reset everything back to the start. Han Solo is a smuggler again, Leia is a rebel again. The empire (first order) are in power and they have the power to destroy a planet. Kid from a desert planet escapes from the stormtroopers aboard the millennium falcon, ends up trapped on the planet killer and eventually the rebels destroy it. and then, through complete misunderstand of the franchise, absolutely destroyed Luke’s character. All e development from the OT is gone, and now he is the antithesis of the Jedi. Poe does nothing in the whole film and Finn and Rose’s story is a snore fest. Rise of Skywalker is absolutely abysmal and breaks canon. This Sith fleet that spawns out of nowhere is absolutely ludicrous, and Palpatine being alive means Anakin did not destroy the Sith and bring balance to the force. The dialogue is worse than George Lucas’s. “Somehow Palpatine returned.” “They fly now?” “I’m the spy!” Rey’s character starts out too powerful. She can understand bb-8 and chewbacca (she’s lived alone on a desert), even when Finn can’t. She flies the millennium falcon and out manoeuvres trained tie fighter pilots and schools Han Solo on his own ship. She can use a Jedi mind trick without knowing she has the force. She can beat Kylo Ren, trained by both Luke and Snoke (Palpatine) the first time she picks up a lightsaber and she does so without a scratch. No one ever beats her, no one challenges her. The audience can’t relate or root for her because she doesn’t have anywhere to grow. Luke loses to Vader, Anakin loses to Dooku, but Rey is perfect. She isn’t relatable because she isn’t human. Humans aren’t perfect. Heroes inspire us because they’re brave despite the challenges. And they pick themselves up when they lose. Rey skips character development and is very poorly written. Disney’s trilogy was an absolute disaster, incompetence that ruined it for fans, and cast

TLJ is just a lazy remake of Empire that set nothing up for the next movie. It failed in that way, whereas Empire succeeded. We needed to go rescue Han. TLJ left us with nothing

Here’s the thing. What you’re saying is exactly what TLJ did with the force awakens. Taking parts people or the studio didn’t like about the force awakens and ignoring it and doing something else. The last Jedi ruins what could have been and what’s already happened.

This is a case where someone who wasn’t even alive to know what was going on twisted the past into something it wasn’t. Empire was a massive success. It was wildly popular. People didn’t stop talking about if Vader was his father for two years. His whole premise is lost in the fact that he’s so wrong about empire. On the other hand you have last Jedi which was a complete rewriting of characters and the themes of Star Wars. It broke the universe. Which is why people loathe this movie.

snoke died in TLJ right? so if ur main villain dies in the second movie how would the second movie grow legs in time if your main villain dies? i mean you could make the same arguement for TDK but we know there are more than just the joker as the villain. who was supposed to be the villain after snokes death? but yeah rian johnsonn understands star wars better than george lucas.

Star Wars movies are better when they explore the force. Philosophically, according to lore, that's what the last Jedi did. A moment of weakness, which is what Anakin had, Luke had. It pushed boundaries and y'all didn't like it.

the first 2 trilogys worked together quite well. The sequal trilogy feels like it's 3 seperate films all fighting each other. at least thats how i see it.

Absolutely. The Last Jedi is an 84 on Metacritic, second only to A New Hope and grossed 1.3 billion. Everywhere I turn I see people saying it's bad. It's not, it's one of the best Star Wars films. I do not understand the blindness of people with that film
