It’s cool idea, unfortunately the switch and the 3ds/ds had a different type of touch screen. The switch screen isn’t nearly as sensitive. And the stylus wouldn’t work

The switch 2 only has video output on the bottom usbc. This also looks more like (making assumptions based on minimalistic patent art) that the top screen might actually be the switch 2 unit (without joycons) and the bottom screen will have controlls build in

I hope they'll utilize this for Nintendo DS online. Also i hope that they roll out an update so you can change or turn off the boarders of the screen.

As much as I want DS games again this just would not work. They would have to make the top screen super thin and lightweight. Or else it would feel horrendous. Instead they should make an accessory that lets you Use the switch in vertical and attach controls on side🤷♂️
