Been there done that, got to live in a high ltl area, own your equipment free and clear, if you actually want to see good profit, takes a lot of time and networking to build stable contracts, old cheap equipment will put you one breakdown away of bankruptcy if you don’t have a safety net of 8k~12k, it’s a good industry but even in a good ltl area Atlanta, NYC, DFW, Chicago,etc current market if you work 5 days a week with stable freight you’d probably gross closer to 3k~4k a week, 7k+ not impossible but can’t avg that in todays market, driving can give you a good life it just ain’t easy.
