One of my favorite stops on my Southwest USA road trip was Page, Arizona, home to the iconic Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend! ✨ This has been on my bucket list for so long, and it did NOT disappoint. If you’re visiting Page (or even taking a day trip from Las Vegas), this is a must. 💡 About Antelope Canyon Antelope Canyon is a world-famous slot canyon carved over thousands of years by flash floods and sandstone erosion. Its smooth, wave-like walls glow with shades of orange and red as the sunlight shifts, creating one of the most photographed natural wonders in the U.S. 🏜️Located on Navajo land, Antelope Canyon can only be visited with a guided tour, and booking in advance is essential since spaces sell out quickly. I did an Upper Antelope Canyon tour with Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours, and I highly recommend it. 🔎 Upper vs. Lower Canyon? 📍Upper Antelope Canyon → The most famous (and most crowded). Easy walk-through, wider passageways, and those breathtaking light beams that shine through the slots in summer. 📍Lower Antelope Canyon → Less crowded and more adventurous, with narrow passageways, ladders, and winding corridors of sandstone. 📍Other options → Canyon X, Secret Canyon, and Waterholes Canyon, great alternatives with smaller groups, fewer crowds, and just as stunning scenery. ☀️ About Light Beams The famous light beams can only be seen in Upper Antelope Canyon. They appear from late March to early October, best between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM on sunny days.
