The only time we sent them in was to refute a dispute. We normally called in with the credit card numbers and had a transfer. I was probably about 56 years old while I was doing it for my parents. Company, how's a Guinea pig to sit on hold i'm now 40.

They were a carbon paper. I worked at a gas station as a kid. I don’t remember why, maybe the “machine” broke, but we had to lay the paper over the card, lay a pencil on it flat, and rub it across the card to get the info into the carbon paper. 😂😂

I had them when I owned a business. One copy was sent to visa/MC and they would deposit the money into my account.

your copy was just a receipt for you records. The merchant would pass the bill to the credit card company.
