What just happened with Air Canada should scare every Canadian. With one stroke, Ottawa used Section 107 to silence a legal strike and force workers into a deal they didn’t agree to. If they can do it to flight attendants, they can do it to nurses, teachers, or anyone who dares walk off the job. This isn’t about flights anymore — it’s about whether Canadians have the right to fight for fair work at all.

Unpopular opinion however, people are literally stranded, waiting on pharmaceuticals, losing money they can’t get back for pre booked vacations. Air Canada can and should pay flight attendants more, however in this case the number of people affected due to flight disruptions far outweighs the number of flight attendants. They needed to keep working and negotiating, I think this was the right call
