My daughter gives me too much credit. My mom was the original. Most of these dishes and linens were hers. Actually, the centerpiece stuff was also mostly hers. Some from her travels and some she just collected because she loved it. These dinners started after she was gone. I sure wish she and my older sister could be guests now. I always wish I could run an idea by them. Or a menu. Or colors. They were both great hostesses. And their meals were better than the tables. So what you see here is just lots and lots of love passed down and so much missing those who've gone before me. Thank you all for your kind words. You would all be welcome for dinner if your ever in West Tennessee!! You just have to put up with the whole family! That's the most entertaining part!😂😂

Did this two years ago for my husband’s family… they acted as though it was a weird flex so I haven’t done it since. I just wanted them to feel like we had put thought and effort into hosting them the way my own grandparents did every Christmas. I don’t have fancy China to use so I used what my mom had bought me for everyday dinnerware and clearance silverware…

Mines not even close to as amazing as hers but I’m 31 and decided this last Christmas that I would make it a goal of mine to decorate the table for holidays for my small family after joining a group on fb for it. 🥰 Love this so much! Tell her she’s amazing.

So lovely. This is a dying art. My sisters and I love our stuffed china cabinets and setting a beautiful table but I hardly know anyone else who still does the same.
