✨ Giving my beloved Ganesha the pedestal he deserves✨ I’ve been using a cardboard box covered in gold wrapping paper for the last few years … but not this time 😅” Lord Ganesha deserves better!!! So this time, I decided to change that. I built a beautiful pedestal from scratch using some leftover plywood, MDF and molding! Here’s how I built it: 1. I first cut the plywood to size (17” wide and 8” deep) for the top 2. Then I cut 3 pieces of 1x6. One at 17” and two at 7.25” 3. I added pocket holes to teh 1x6 pieces 4. Then I attached the 1x6 pieces to the top piece using pocket screws 5. I cut 2 different types of molding at 45 degree angles 6. I attached the moldings using wood glue and brad nails 7. Nex, I filled all the nail holes and sanded 8. Finally, I gave it 2 coats of gold spray paint. This reel kicks off my Ganesha Chaturthi prep series, and I’m so excited to share more easy DIY ideas and decor tips in the coming days! Let me know how you like it and whether you will make one for yourself. And if you are new to DIY, be sure to check out my resources (links in bio for both): 🛠️ Download my free Beginner’s Guide to DIY 📚 Want to start building with power tools?
