Most Pakistanis have fresh milk delivered to their homes, the “milk packs” you see on the shelves are mainly for people who can’t tolerate/like the fresh milk.

I didn’t know about shelf stable dairy milk until I ran across fairlife milk here. Apparently it’s processed with ultra high temperatures then packaged aseptically and doesn’t need refrigeration until after it’s opened. Looks like they’re further ahead than the US in some ways 😊

Most of that milk is ultra heat treated long life milk, it can be stored outside a refrigerator. Pakistani’s usually get fresh milk delivered to their door from businesses or farms. My in-laws have livestock so we had fresh cows milk daily, and it was unreal, no additives or preservatives. Just pure milk.

the food tastes really good in Pakistan because it is made to suit the taste of people who are still used to eating everything fresh. frozen and packaged products be it meat or fruit are looked down upon by majority for being unhealthy and compromised

UHT milk Very common in many stores especially where refrigeration is a challenge. it tends to be cheaper also no costs for cold chain.

Ok and??? Grocery stores are probably all over the world. Going to Pakistan to shop at a just to grocery store is silly. Go to the bazaars and experience the hustle and bustle, it’s an experience that you can’t really get in the west.
