8% budget cuts across the services doesn’t help get after initiatives like quality of life. Do I believe there should be a quality of life yes, did I grow up on Pendleton and Lejeune and lived in condemn barracks yes.. but I don’t remember a time in the 90s and early 2000’s that we cared. We still had dust covers 18 inches of white 45° angles… and didn’t have a QR Code to put in service request and track them individually. Even the new barracks that are built are already being destroyed because people don’t care or take care of their own stuff. They treat it like it’s a rental car.
