This includes: packing out EVERYTHING; respecting all wildlife and signage; following all 🔥regulations + much more!!! ⛔️ __________ There are SO many INCREDIBLE places to explore on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas in California… but, these are definitely some of my favorites! 1️⃣ Brees Lookout - one of the most stellar views and super easy to get to for sunrise! It’s part of the Hot Creek Geological Site (the entire area is fire 🔥 😉) 2️⃣ Crab Cooker Hot Springs (or Hill Top Hot Springs, Wild Willy’s Hot Springs - there’s SO many natural hot springs to soak in here)!! Just type “hot springs” into Google maps and a ton will show up! 3️⃣ Mono Lake - see one of the oldest and otherworldly lakes in the country! Its tufa towers are so cool and alien-like! 👽 4️⃣ Bodie State Historic Park - for me, the drive to this abandoned mining town is one of the bests! Unnmatched scenery (and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a cloud inversion like we did)!! ☁️ 5️⃣ Alabama Hills - I’m obsessed with this place! See insane boulders / rock formations (like Mobius Arch) stretched out beneath the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states: Mt. Whitney! 6️⃣ Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest - walk among the OLDEST trees in the world via Methuselah trail! Then, afterwards, swing by Sierra View Overlook for sweeping, panoramic views!
