Vhavenda divided into 7 main groups: Vhangona (the originals! Owners of the place of meat / Autochthonous / Zwisike / Vho-Ngwaniwapo / Vho-Tshidzatshapo) – now the collective name is Vhavenda too. They make up ~80% of Vhavenda tribe. First people right here in South Africa (originated here). Yeah some say Khoisan were first but that's the white people theory 🤷🏾♂️. They built the great kingdom of Mapungubwe! 🇿🇦 Then others joined them later: Vhandalamo – came from Ethiopia Vhalaudzi of the Govhasenga (around 1400s) Masingos (1600s) – from DRC (Congo) Vhashavhi – straight up connect their history to the Jews (they're open about it!) Mphaphuli clan (Pafuri/Mpafudi: Moxhaluba, Dzhomo, Kekana) – from KZN, ran to Venda escaping war Nelamondo clan – got Swatis and Ndebeles inside In short: Different groups migrated from everywhere, found the Vhangona already there, mixed together → that's the full Vhavenda nation today. All these clans STILL exist in Venda now! 💪 White people/colonizers hid this truth on purpose – they had their motives. We see it even today: Venda people get hated on and barely anyone knows the real history 😤 What do you think?
