@dwmtmr: Heretic is a psychological suspense/thriller/horror film that follows two female Morman Missionaries who get themselves in a dangerous situation after entering a home of a man who shows interest in learning about their faith. The film stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East and sees great performances from all 3 but Hugh Grant brings such a chilling aspect to the film that I could not get enough of. Heretic explores a lot into faith, control, and the nature of religion and has A LOT of exposition which can disengage the audience easily if this is not something you are already interested in. It does have a few good standout moments that are enjoyable but the buildup to those points can make you grow a bit impatient. In essence, Heretic is a solid film that is thought provoking that can challenge people’s viewpoints in a lot of ways and is an enjoyable movie to say the least. Icl I liked it esp at the end coz you’d never expect her to put the pieces together as she was portayed to be a bit “giddy dopey bubbly” type aka quite the opposite to her friend but I was so happy when she worked it out & escaped
