“Freak storm”. It was on the radar for over 2 hours. This is a pretty average late summer storm in the Midwest. People just always forget we get severe weather in the summer for some reason.

there was a severe thunderstorm watch in effect before it hit. There was a risk of severe weather. that's why you check the forecast multiple times per day
