Persephone's most well-known myth involves her abduction by Hades and her split existence between the underworld and the world above: The Roman name for the Greek goddess Persephone is Proserpina. She is also sometimes referred to as Proserpine. In Roman mythology, Proserpina was the goddess of the underworld, agriculture, and springtime growth. the most known myth of Persephone, unfortunately, is the the story of her being abducted by Hades. And how she consumed pomegranate seeds in the Underworld that resulted in her being known as half in and half out of the underworld in the cycle of the year. My own personal relationship with Persephone, has been one of growth development and redefining myself.
