I believe Jackie was trying to escape at the same time Clint Hill yelled to her to get back in, you're safer. At the same time she noticed a piece of JFK's skull on the trunk, picked it up and retreated back to her seat. She was trying to get away and Clint Hill yell to her " Get back in the seat, you're safer there"!
