i personally loved that superman didnt show up, because thats a wonderful message to send and a message the world needs right now. making the world a better place does not fall on an individual, it falls on all of us. our greatest strength as humans is our sense of community, it always has been. superman inspired these people to be better, to help. superman can inspire us to do better too.
