My cat panted like this once bc I took him on a walk (he got super stressed cus we were a block away) n he wriggled off his harness so I have to chase him for a block to grab him 😭

my cats get very stressed in the car too. crank up the AC and pet/talk to him in soothing tones and try getting him to drink some water when you reach your destination. I hope he feels better soon ❤️

My Ritz did this our first car ride. My Spouse said he was happy I thought he was stressed. Soon as I took him alone had him secured in my passenger seat he had opinions no longer as stressed. My other two have to travel together for this reason they are twins and very bonded. I will sprinkle a little catnip as a distraction to help. They also have access to the carriers to explore a few days before car rides. Ours opens 3 ways and they can really feel sturdy also can be buckled into the car. You’re doing great recognizing his stress tells.
