I will scream this from the top of every hill I can find, and labels know this - labels are not the brand, the artist are the brand. No one knows what company that makes Oreos but they know Oreo cookies and if that parent company (checks notes - Mondolez?) posts on their IG about a new Oreo no one would care and that’s besides the point because it’s not the brand.

I’m about to put yall on game, so listen closely, labels are a business, they don’t give a shit about art, music, message, none of it. They strictly care about the bottom line. Thats why they scoop in and pick you up once the foundation has already been laid. They are literally a bank with connections. They put you on the road with bigger artists, see how you do, and if you don’t make, they drop you. Their biggest power is in the connections they have, and the money they have. That’s it. It’s that’s simple. Oh yeah, and all of their artists have fake streams, bot followers, and boosted posts.

Don't labels know everyone in the industry and will organize events and collaborations, large concerns and loan money for bug expensive music videos? I'm not pro label but they do do something, not everyone wants to look for mastering engineers or graphic designers from scratch or do literally everything themselves.
