Have you heard of Angola Florida. Angola Florida x Bahamians in andros island are connected by the “saltwater railroad” and even tho families were separated in USA vs Bahamas, they unite and have a cultural outfit . Since some were former Gullah geechee but have their own slight separate outfit as they mixed with black Seminole Indians, should they be included?

I’m African, and I deeply admire Black Americans for many reasons. But the most fundamental reason—the one that commands true respect—is that they stood up and fought against a powerful racist system that tried to keep them down. Their victory benefits us all—not only Black people, but every oppressed people around the world.
They are right to say they are not Africans, because they were born as a people outside of Africa. And they are also right to say they can tell the difference between an African and an African American. Let’s be honest: even within Africa, we can easily recognize a Malian, a Senegalese, a Cameroonian, or a South African—our continent is incredibly diverse. So how could we expect African Americans, who carry the genetic heritage of many African regions and beyond, to be one and the same as us?
Being Black is not, by itself, a sufficient condition for brotherhood. True fraternity comes from mutual respect—respect for our differences and for the unique history that shapes each of us. Only through that respect can we build peaceful and genuine bonds as brothers and sisters.

Gullah gal here. I always remember my grandpa with his seagrass hat and blue overalls. He always used to fish in Beaufort, SC. I miss him and I miss those days

So beautiful thanks for this collage! We have so much traditional fashion and a LOT of modern fashion. We need to start giving attention to all of it.
