I don't care what other people do, but I refuse to wear a bonnet in public. We have other options. Hats, headwraps, scarves and they all come in satin/silk lined specifically for our hair now. I don't wear pj's in public so I'm not wearing my bonnet in public.

Ski masks, durags and bonnets in public just add to our stereotype. It’s not a crime to wear them, and it shouldn’t have to be a stigma around it, but unfortunately WE can’t do stuff like that

I agree ! I’ve never seen the women in my family wear bonnets or scarves outside…. I just can’t bring myself to wear a bonnet outside, I’ll do scarf though.

i think people forgot that the reasons for dress codes were so people act right in public. Bonnets, sagging etc invokes poor behavior in public more times than not 😫
