@vadinthebully: Benadryl can help save your dog🔽 unfortunately Vadin has had a few of these. in this instance it was in the middle of the night and we had no idea what triggered it. He's had this reaction before to plants and other grasses, but this time he was just laying in his crate asleep 🤷🏻♀️ EARLY SIGNS OF A REACTION: excessive itching or licking redness of skin or around the eyes excessive drooling vomiting or diarrhea swelling of the face pale gums if you notice any of these symptoms CONTACT YOUR VET immediately With guidance, administer Benadryl (tablets NOT liquid, capsules or extended release) !! your vet will tell you how much Benadryl to give your dog based off of weight. sometimes a steroid or epinephrine is needed this can be extremely life threatening and needs medical attention asap! always keep an eye out for your pups #dogslife #puppy #bullybreed #doghealthtips
If its truly allergies Apoquel or a Cytopoint injection will work wonders and its prescribed by your vet! Please look into it

I have a dermatologist working with us on our allergies...one of my dogs was allergic to almost everything you could think of. Cotton, corn, himself, humans, etc. We are on a course of Immuno-suppressants that have helped a ton.
Have you thought of doing that for your guy? Cause this isn't going to calm down by just benadryl btw.
My dogs have been on all drugs for allergies to no go until I had my senior dog [before she suddenly passed because of cancer] tested...found out she had been suffering in silence over 12 different protein allergies...12. That's what got me to test my other two...and both have issues with them. Since we've been able take them off of a lot of allergy drugs.. and put them to as needed only.
Btw he could be allergic to dust, mites, mold [which are common in the house]...yes grass is another...tree pollen...corn is another. If he has been exposed to wildfires smoke...whose telling what's in that...both my dogs were indoors for a good chunk of it...yet one of mine is dealing with lung issues from it.
Benadryl isn't always a great way to battle the reaction. We do Zyrtex for our break outs...most vets prefer it over Benadryl. However Zyrtex is an as needed drug...so take that as you need to.
hope any of my suggestions helped a little...

find out what he's allergic too and stop using or feeding it to him. Once you do that the itching, swelling and allergic reactions will stop. My brother had a pitty that was allergic to an ingredient in Purina 1 Lamb flavor dog food. I saw the hives start showing and swapped out her food.

I wonder if he gave something or there was a change in his food. This looks like MACD and they can have a reaction/flare to anything all of a sudden. Even stress can make our mass cells go wacky. Poor little baby. 😢

My Amstaff is allergic to everything: grass, flowers, dust, and she can only eat horse meat. The vet prescribed Apoquel, and it works wonders!
