YEESSS! Heavy on that "I was called that". We, Black Americans called EACH OTHER that too. My super light skin Black American step-brother was called that cause he had dreads. Kids of all creeds say ignorant ish to each other. Take it up with a therapist and get over it.

Most black americans did not grow up around Africans and we still heard the term lol it was used towards black americans originally. Lying and using child hood trauma for a hate their parents, and grandparents have towards us also is a complete lie.

It’s from Boys n the Hood the 2 kids in the classroom joking on one another which were BA… We were kids quoting a cultural movie same like the movie Friday… They just took it to ♥️not knowing how we are because their not us or like us.

They even called us Haitians that 😭 so I really don’t get it. Honestly, Africans were really popular back in my high school because the guys were athletic AND smart, while the girls were always dressed to the 9s. Haitians got bullied more by far 😒 I remember after the earthquake, a classmate said “no haitian jokes” just for a a month…

We (black Americans) were called that too we just didn’t carry it into adulthood. We left it in the ’80s and ’90s. It wasn’t that deep. I guess we are just built different.
