I would also include having a consistent sleeping schedule. I went to bed no later than 10pm and have 8ish hours of sleep daily, so i could workout hella early, go to class, study and then enjoy my free time. a lot of college students take for granted having good rest which is the main factor on life performance (physically and mentally wise)

As an electrical engineer junior, my biggest help was having a set bedtime and wake up time that’s the same everyday. And also going to the gym before class most days. Also having a scheduled calendar with time for HW everyday really helps.
