I’m done. And I’m sorry. I wish I had some beautiful way to say this, but I don’t. I’m exhausted. Mentally, emotionally, and completely exhausted. TikTok used to be my safe space. It was somewhere I could laugh, be myself, forget about real life for a while, and surround myself with people who made even the bad days feel a little easier. But it doesn’t feel safe anymore. The place I once went to escape my trauma has slowly become part of my trauma. I’ve tried staying. I’ve tried ignoring things. I’ve tried putting on a smile, going LIVE, laughing, supporting everyone else, and pretending that everything was okay when inside I was becoming more and more drained. I can’t keep doing that to myself. For my mental health and my sanity, I have to walk away. Not just from TikTok, but from my agency as well. I care deeply about the agency, my creators, and the people I’ve met through it, which makes this even harder. But I know myself well enough to know that I need to completely step away. To my puppies, my kitties, my friends, my creators, and everyone who became part of my little corner of this app—I am so sorry. Some of you became more than usernames on a screen. You became people I genuinely cared about. We laughed together, cried together, stayed up way too late together, fought through hard days together, and created memories that I’ll never forget. Walking away from the app doesn’t mean those memories suddenly mean nothing to me. They mean everything. And that’s probably why this hurts so damn much. But I have reached a point where staying is costing me pieces of myself that I can’t afford to keep losing. I need peace. I need to heal. I need to remember who Gingy is when there isn’t a LIVE button, an agency responsibility, drama, expectations, notifications, or hundreds of voices pulling me in different directions. Most importantly, I need to choose myself for once. So if this really is the last time some of you ever hear from me, please know that I genuinely wish you nothing but happiness. Keep chasing whatever brought you to this app in the first place. Keep laughing. Keep creating. Keep finding your people. And please protect your peace before you reach the point where you have nothing left to give. I’m leaving with a broken heart, but I know staying would break it even more. Thank you for every laugh, every conversation, every LIVE, every battle, every late night, every friendship, and every memory. I loved this place once. Maybe that’s what makes saying goodbye so painful. Goodbye, TikTok. Goodbye to my agency. And goodbye, for now, to this chapter of Gingy. I wish you all the absolute best. — Gingy 🖤
