This is why I like that Oda didn't have Kizaru suddenly change sides in Egghead, even when it was people he considered friends, and even if we know he took a single action to help them when he fed Luffy, he was still a loyal dog of the Marines and followed his orders to the letter.

I think oda tried to dispel the thought that "all marines are bad" in the latest chapter where rocks says "theyre a massive organization sure, and they have corrupt trash amongst their ranks, but the navy is a fine army. the average marine helps save people on a day to day basis"

Also, what actual terrible thing did Ace do? All we ever saw him do as a pirate was terrorize the Marines. He literally has random civilian girls giving him love letters & the Whitebeard Pirates went around protecting islands & guess who instantly got attacked as soon as he was killed? 🤨 Ace was a good person who didn't deserve to die, but because he decided to live FREE on the seas & wear the label "pirate" he didn't deserve to live? Even though they decided be needed to die before he even took his first breath?? Nah F that & F the Marines.

People like T-Bone never make it to have true power in the World Government, no matter how strong they physically are. Because in order for the machine to work correctly, there can't be powerful pieces that refuse to do certain things that are inmoral. The one guy that we could say tried to push against corruption was Fujitora and he got punished and shamed for his actions. You will fight for the Celestial Dragons or you will be out of there.

One thing people tend forgot ace died for BEING ROGERS son they wanted to make an example out of him if it’s any other pirate it would not be televised as it was there’s no defense for even before he was born the only crime the WG gave him was being Roger’s son and they ruled he deserved to die for and who carries out that order MARINES
