lol. My son conure used to say "goodnight, I love you" with me as I was putting my kids to bed. It lasted for about a week and he has never said it again. 😆 Today I realized that he's mimicking my kids' alarm clocks. 🙃

It’s funny how that works! I say good morning and goodnight at the appropriate time, say his name. Doesn’t feel like speaking those words. I said taco once infront of him, now he says it all the time

Hearing your parrot learn something just by naturally picking it up is crazy. I’ve noticed mine tends to gravitate towards words with “la” sounds (so she LOVES saying my name even if she has no intention of calling me) and recently she’s been picking up learning my dog’s name after hearing us calling him. Her speech on that isn’t quite clear enough yet to confuse him (and also my dog is very stubborn) but I think she’ll get it eventually

We've had our Gray for 26 years. he picks up EVERYTHING we say, but will refuse to say, "Why you mess your water?" he likes to bath a lot and mess his water.
