I mean…this is more family specific, but my grandma likes to “crash” crash weddings. Aka, her sister is invited to a wedding but she’s not, so she goes as her sister’s plus 1 to “crash” the wedding & vice versa if she gets a wedding invite but her sis doesn’t.

In my culture’s tradition the bride and groom are separate for the 24 hours before the ceremony. During this time both the bride and groom are never without their attendants who “guard” them from anyone/thing might stop the wedding.
