Nails are the worst for me. I just never think to look at them. If I go get them professionally done, they last until I get home. My brain then has knowledge I have something else to subconsciously pick at. Which leaves my hair safe from twisting around my finger until the nails are gone.

Not only did I struggle due to my adhd, I struggled because of my untreated adhd all throughout childhood, as well as direct abuse and neglect in having access having to hygiene items. There was a lot of backlash when I did ask for help in accessing clean clothes, sheets, hygiene products, or questions. I was screamed at and actually told it did not matter for me as much as it did for my other siblings. It compounded to make the abusive situation worse unfortunately.

I have trouble getting into the shower but when I do I overscrub I over brush my teeth. And I over clean my ears to the point that alcohol burns. and even tho i know it’s coming i still do it. i feel icky if i don’t
