100% every pilates instructor I've seen have always said pilates isn't for building muscle and losing weight ofc it can help if you are dieting and weight lifting ONTOP of pilates, but it's not going to do anything other then help build core strength and balance if you dont lift

Idk I wouldn’t say Pilates does nothing, it’s still a form of exercise. Also, I think it matters what TYPE of Pilates your doing. If you’re doing that grandma Pilates that’s more core and stretching focused then yes THAT does nothing. But I’ve done some Pilates classes where they incorporate resistance and even some light weights to add to the workout not just bending and snapping. Maybe I’m wrong but I think depends on what the person is doing in those workouts that matters.
