Zens healing is efficient but not too effective, just decent. The ultimate is really the most healing output zen will have. My advice: pray your zen can aim and charge ult quickly

Oh my god, this comment section makes me see what people mean when they say that supports have victim complexes. As a support main myself this is embarrassing — yes your job isn't to healbot, but that doesn't mean healing isn't needed. A backline like this (if everyone else doesn't have their own sustain) only works if your team is well syngergised and runs the enemy team down, which usually isn't the case, so you need some kind of sustain, aka burst healing.
