please change the screws, I understand you don't want to knock it down but they are dangerous and can cause you nasty cuts, the batons you mentioned on the bottom are a good idea (but I'm not a carpenter)

What you done on top do the same on ground level , will be solid … maybe keep it up 100mm above ground but will become trip hazard😩and yeah get smaller screws 37 mm . Happy days 😊 .. done great job so far by the way

better to have used 2x2 batons rather 2x1 batons..stronger and no dangerous screws poking out at the back.and uprights set in ground at least a foot...

You are adorable… pls be careful with pointy screws but once some weight gently goes on the top, tie wrap the branches and you will get a bit more stability… the bottom will sink in slowly under a bit of weight 👍

As someone who builds a lot of stuff.
I recommend you put in some posts in the ground and screw it to that.

use rough sawn treated 2x2 timber. get correct size screws that won't rip your head open. make a box like frame. make each panel individually then simply screw together put slabs underneath base to prevent rotting.

bang some stakes in the ground and then screw your wood to them. you won't need to put any wood across then

Can’t you knock some of those short pieces of wood into the ground and screw the frame to it them.

Rather than jumping straight to version 2.0, sink the legs into the ground. If you want to maintain height, put some extra wood into ground as stakes and screw frame to these.

You should have really used some larger section timber and set the legs in the ground by about 2 foot. The easiest way way to firm up what you have would be to drive a fence stake into the ground adjacent to each leg, and then screw the legs to the stakes with at least two or three screws. Also please cut off the screws that are sticking out, before someone has an accident!
