@krsna.garr: from heavy lifting to pilates & strength… Looking back at the first few clips, I barely recognize that version of myself but they represent two intense years of my fitness journey. I started with heavy lifting and pyramid training, spending two hours a day, seven days a week in the gym. At the time, fitness became my anchor…my sense of control when I didn’t feel as if I had any outside of the gym setting. I pushed hard, to the point of overtraining, eventually losing my hormonal cycle. That wake-up call led me to explore the importance of balancing high- and low-impact training, especially for women. I stopped chasing soreness as a sign of progress and began focusing on what truly supports long-term health and performance. Strength training gave me power, endurance, and a solid foundation. Pilates, on the other hand, not only helped lengthen and tone my muscles…it introduced me to a deeper connection between breath and body, mind and muscle. It was a connection I didn’t even realize I was missing until I found it.
