Love how they always refer to them as 'pro-russian seperatists' and not mention these were the people who voted for the government that the 'euromaiden protesters' forced out of power. Riots and protests begun in the eastern and southern regions right after Yanukovych was ousted. But of course its the pro-west regime that is fighting for democracy 😂

Because the Donbas is rich in coal, industry, and resources and controlling it gives Russia both economic and strategic power. It’s not just land, it’s about resources, influence, and a buffer zone against the West.

Donbas has 10% of a coal shelf that the remaining 90% stretches into Russia, Russia doesn't need those minerals, it has plenty, it doesn't need Ukraine wheat either, it has its own! Guess who does need it though? EU/UK
