I think the reason we add the orangey and warm colour palettes is due to Amorsolo (one of the Pillars of Philippine Art) making his paintings always in that warm summer tone. Though he did it as he constantly made paintings of those in the country side which did have those typical natural hues. He probably established that view point from them on which influenced a lot of artists to depict the Philippines in the same way.
