You can often split the bill by saying person 1 will pay by card for X amount. person 2 will pay by cash (or card) for Y amount. Most restaurants will do that here in the UK.

When travelling around London you should always use the tube between Covent Garden and Leicester Square it will save you so much time if you are on a tight schedule 😎
