Does anyone know the metaphor for this? Or the meaning behind this movie cause I love it but not in the way I’d was made to be loved. I don’t understand it

Claire!☃️ :

I’ve never watched it and by this sound I can’t tell if it’s abt an ED, grape 🍇 or like him dying and wanting her to eat him so that she survived

The ending confused me, did he die in the end or no? Cuz it showed the two of them together
