@dewimunchies: Actual exploration here: So this was just a goofy video because I thought it looked like a #coloranalysis trial, but in any case, this was a really interesting cookbook! Other than being super cute and showcasing a lot of the Dick Bruna illustrations and teaching kids where their food came from, it was curious how they integrated the concept of Nijntje and her animal friends by keeping the majority of the recipes vegetarian. Even the depiction of the fish was of it sleeping and any mentions of other animals, like cows and chickens, focused on their products like milk and eggs. Though it would be challenging, I’d like to see how they would tackle introducing the eating of animals to children through such a book though it’s completely understandable why the topic was not really explored. I’d love to look into other children TA cookbooks to see how they introduce the concept of meat eating too. In any case, the recipes are pretty good and I’ve tried a couple of them, like the pasta frittata. #miffy #nijntje #cookbook #nederlands
