It’s sad how Henry VIII still shapes their stories. Take Catherine Howard — painted as a silly, guilty girl, when really her ‘confession’ came from pressure and fear. Or Anne Boleyn — described as promiscuous and scheming, when the charges against her were fabricated. These images came from male chroniclers writing what Henry wanted remembered. Repeating those myths today just keeps his propaganda alive.

Two things wrong, first, her last words weren’t recorded as they were “unimportant”, second, she wasn’t buried, she was dissolved with a chemical they had (they did this lots of execution victims) which is why we can’t find her body.

I find Catherine Howard the most fascinating and the most tragic of Henry's wives, she was so young and he was so old and she was placed into a position with so much danger and then left to drown by men who were supposed to protect her. So sad 😢
