As someone who works with dogs, retractable leashes are extremely dangerous for many reasons. They don’t keep your babies safe! I’ve seen and heard so many horror stories. This is convenient but not worth the risk

I'm a forever retractable leash user. I just don't let them get far from me and when I see another dog I keep the leash at its shorter length. But I never never allow the leash to go to its full length and it always stays locked. I think it can be used responsibly.

My dog almost got killed with a retractable leash. Dog Sitter had the elevator, and my golden ran out after a ball. Retractable leashes are the worst no one should have.
