@karchmichael: Caption ⬇️ Most people never talk about this If you’re dropping fat fast, there’s one thing you don’t want to ignore loose skin. I didn’t get rid of mine 100%. But I did make it way less visible. Loose skin Happens: • When you lose weight too quickly without preserving muscle, your skin doesn’t have time to adapt. • rapid weight loss shrinks fat cells, but doesn’t rebuild underlying tissue. That leads to sagging. • resistance training increases dermal thickness and skin elasticity indirectly by stimulating collagen-supporting muscle tissue. 3 Things I Did That Worked: 1. Slowed Down My Cut: No more crash dieting. Aim for 0.5–1 lb/week. This gives skin time to adjust. 2. Lifted Heavy & Built Muscle: Resistance training 4–6x/week helped fill out my frame and reduce the appearance of sag. 3. Hydrated + Ate Protein: Skin is made of collagen. Collagen comes from amino acids. I kept protein at 1g/lb and drank 3L+ of water daily. What Most People Do Wrong: • Losing 20+ lbs fast with zero training. • Obsessing over lotions instead of building muscle. • Thinking surgery is the only option. It’s not. Loose skin doesn’t mean you failed. It means you did something hard. And if you keep showing up, your body will keep improving. I’m proof of that.
