The extended warranty protects you from transmission failure, engine failure (specially if you’re skimping on maintenance) after your vehicles manufacturer warranty. Ask the CRV owners, ask the ford Taurus owners, ask the Altima owners, ask the Hyundai owners.

I took my son to buy his first car, the finance guy counted his cash deposit twice, both times wrong. I knew exactly where he miss counted it. I picked up that stack and counted it correctly for him. We should have left, but went ahead with the deal

Soo in the old days they did have trick called a disappearing down payment. They would mostly pull it on Hispanic clients couldn’t read contracts and usually dealt in cash. Nowadays, it’s very hard to get away with it.

Who actually thinks this? Be for real. Every 1000 you put down drops your payment $20 on a 60/m loan with average credit. $30 on a lease. Unless you’re putting down a lot to reduce the payments or if the bank requires it, keep it and invest it, but no, sales people are not keeping your money. A tip would be appreciated for the hours we put into it. We don’t make what you think we do. Especially for time after the sale or help when you need us that take us out of the dealership and we could lose a sale.

Maintenance packages truly do save you money, and also avoid coming out of pocket when the maintenance arrives. The maintenance through the dealer also does an amazing job at holding your cars value and protect it from depreciation.

Wheel and tire, probably the least necessary, even so carries value. Nail in the tire? Some of your manufacturers choice of tires, specially run flats or high rated tires can cost between $200-$500 per tire. Even more on vehicles like broncos with the Sasquatch package, a lot of M & M lite vehicles, a lot of Mercedes, and most cars worth a shit. Repairing a rim from a drunk night out? $400 ? You’re covered.
