Worst conversation parents can EVER have with one another... cancer and treatment are so scary and unknown. My girl was "low risk" and we still had that conversation. Good thoughts to you and your warrior!

I applaud you for being so raw and real. This is hard. My daughter has a midbrain glioma but we aren’t treating it currently due to location and only a minute portion of a biopsy didn’t give us all the answers needed. I panic daily.

So sorry you have to go through that discussion. I'm a mom of a toddler and I couldn't imagine (I lost a brother when he was 10) so the reality is definitely there for me that it can happen with kids and I have PTSD from his so I constantly worry about things happening to her. My thoughts are with y'all and hope things go well for her recovery and survival.

I’m glad yall were able to talk about it because my son fought for five months (he was 2.5years old) was in chemo treatment but considered “cancer free” and he passed. My husband and I never had these conversations but wish we would have. Always praying for yall 💕

I remember hospice sent a funeral director to my house to get information about planning my 4 year old daughter's funeral. I mean my daughter was on hospice (relapse of grade 3 brain cancer), she was already given a certain amount of time left from a doctor, and there was a fast sudden decline... BUT still when the funeral director left my house.. I slid down the front door and broke down. It put things into perspective for me that day because before that point we were always in the "never give up, fighting the cancer" mindset.

We had a celebration of life, his favorite foods to eat, brought some of his toys for other kids to play with and take home if they wished, temporary tattoos, coloring pages of him, etc. if you have any questions you can feel free to reach out to me on what we did.

As tough of a conversation that this it’s best to have a plan in place just in case god forbid things take that turn you have a plan that you can execute if you need to. When you are going through the process of grief it’s not easy to make those decisions so making those decisions now is probably for the best. Of course I wish your daughter well and I hope she makes a full recovery and never has to go through cancer ever again

Best part, you are communicating with each other. My wife and I talk every night in bed before we go to bed. We know some nights you are apart but keep communicating and loving each other - doing a great job for your daughter and your marriage.
