I tried the PrAna stretch zion cargos on in store and they are so comfortable that I ordered a pair online. (need a short size) I love that they have side waist cinching belts so that there isn't waist gaping. I also really like the Cotopaxi Subo pants but they don't seem to have them online right now.

I’ll throw Mountain Hardwear pants the mix. They are NOT wide but fabric is the best - light weight and breathable

I love the fit of the Prana stretch Zion, I have two pairs HOWEVER I’ve never had a pant show sweat stains as much as these do. I think for casual use it wouldn’t matter but I wear them for work since I work outside and they really show everything lol

HIGHLY recommend the Columbia All-Season bootcut pants! It’s a great material, they come in a variety of lengths, are pull on, and are decently affordable. Plus they work for hiking and work! Hope you find the perfect pair!

I just went through this exact search myself and I landed on the Outdoor Voices RecTrek Cargo Pant! They’re so comfy, great to move around in lots of room around the ankle, I also HATE tapered legs. There’s great pocket/organization and comes with a belt

I love the baleaf ones as they are super lightweight and bc they have the bungies on bottom u can make them like capris. Not the most aesthetic but I love them.

Lululemon makes a 'packable lightweight' hiking pant. the new version is haven't tried by their previous one I LOVE and still use years later.
