I had an epidural 12 years ago and I swear my back has never been the same although it did help me because I was in labour for far too long and I was genuinely exhausted also my baby was big but the backache 🚮 wow

i wanted so badly to deliver without an epidural. so so badly. my baby was Sunnyside up and taking her sweet time progressing. I made it 13 hours before getting my epidural. and labored for another 12.5 hrs after

If you had to give birth in a hospital what would you recommend? I love your content and your home birth was beautiful! That’s what I want but I’m stuck going the hospital route because of financial reasons. I do have a doula and have shared my birth plan with my team but I still feel uneasy being in a hospital setting.

Just out of curiosity why an epidural over a spinal. I am an L&D nurse and am curious what the rationale for this is. The only thing I can think of is that the catheter remains in your back so more medication can be added if necessary due to the length of the surgery but I would still recommend it be dosed like a spinal for better pain coverage
