This and if you’re ball is on the green already and your partner still needs to pitch on, start walking to the green with your putter to speed up play as well and let your partner take the cart to his ball

Great tip! I always tell people to guess the right club and bring one long and one shorter so that they have options once they get there.

Love this. I would add that it’s always good to bring an other club or two just in case. :). It boggles my mind (especially when people play the same course frequently) that they are hesitant to do this. As if they don’t know what the estimated distance is and can figure it out pretty easily. :)

This!! I love this consideration to pace of play, especially on busy days. I don’t mind lending an extra set of eyes to some rough-lying shots for others, but I find myself rushing too much when I finally get over to my ball. (And who are we kidding, often times I’m in the rough myself).

Such great advice. Peace of play is so important. I usually estimate my difference the same way but also end up taking a couple clubs with me. Just in case.

My husband and I usually play 9 hole walking courses, so when we played a full round with a cart last weekend, I was surprised by how much the cart seemed to slow us down, especially if our balls ended up on opposites sides of the fairway or if we needed to swap out clubs. I almost prefer using a push cart to have everything with me all the time.
